Practice Services and Appointment Availability

Please telephone the practice on 01878 700302. You will be connected with a member of staff who will discuss the reason for booking your appointment; they will be able to offer you the most appropriate options to ensure you get the right appointment for your needs first time. You may be signposted to services out with the practice if this is the best option for you.

The practice provides: 

  • General consultations (face-to-face, VC and telephone) GPs, pharmacists or physiotherapist
  • Medication review 
  • Chronic disease management 
  • Asthma review (house of care)
  • Cervical screening
  • Contraception services
  • Diabetes review (house of care)
  • Elderly Care Assessment
  • Minor surgery
  • New registration medicals
  • Postnatal checks
  • Occupational health
  • DVLA Medicals

Routine blood tests, BP checks, etc. are provided by the community nursing team on Monday and Thursday mornings.

If you require a chaperone, please ask at the time of booking your appointment.

 

Most appointments are given on the day. Dr Bird triages telephone calls between 9 -11.00 a.m. and makes his own face-to-face appointments.

There are clinics on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon between 14.30 – 17.30 and face-to-face appointments between 11.00 and 12.00 every morning.

There is an evening clinic on a Wednesday most weeks unless Dr Bird is away.

Dr Aoife Ni Mhaoileoin makes telephone consultations most Tuesday and Friday Mornings between 8.00 – 12.30
